Charles Howard Broad Channel is into the portable sanitation business, and he has been in the business for more than 30 years. At an early stage, he was taught how to build a portable toilet from the scratch and how to market them to potential buyers. In 1976, his father started CALLAHEAD, and in 1981 he was made the President/CEO of the company. CALLAHEAD is a company that specializes in producing and marketing sanitation equipment of various types, shapes and sizes, including portable restrooms, holding tanks, porcelain systems, portable sinks, portable toilets, high-rise units, handicap units, storage sheds, guard sheds, comfort stations, hand cleaning systems, trailer units, outdoor units and job-site units etc. The company serves New York’s five boroughs, Nassau, Westchester and Suffolk Counties. It is arguably the largest portable sanitation company in New York.

He is an innovator, an inventor and a detail-oriented person. He was the one that designed the modern portable security guard booth models known as the A16 and A25, and he was also the one that invented the portable water and sewer system for use in the portable sanitation industry. He also has a keen interest in designing, constructing and producing architectural masterpieces, he was awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of the Borough of Queens for his creativeness in the construction of the Howard Residence in Broad Channel, NY. Furthermore, the Queens County Chamber of Commerce of New York awarded him for excellence in the design and construction of the Wharton's Apothecary.

He is a member of the North Channel Yacht Club, he has been a member for more than 30 years. He enjoys travelling with his family on their yacht, and they have been to places like Rhode Island, Newport, the Caribbean and Nantucket. In addition, he is a humanitarian and he has given to many local charities. He has also hosted different fundraisers for programs targeted towards enhancing the lives of the people in the community, especially the youths.
