The Untied States’ state with the largest population in the nation and a major contributor to the agricultural wealth of the country is in a state of crisis.

Having lived in the Bay Area of California all of her life, San Francisco resident Julie Tishkoff, and the rest of California, is being challenged with the tall task to reduce water usage in order to lengthen the time the state has to find a new source of water.

Saving water is not an easy task for the state of California. Not only does California have the largest population for a state in the country, their economy thrives on tourists coming and they are a major contributor to the overall agricultural wealth of the country. This makes it even harder to have harsh limitations on the amount of water used in the state. Despite the tall order place upon the state by their Governor, Jerry Brown, the overall population is up for the task.

As California looks for various options to find a way to gain bring water to their state, these restrictions may be there to stay. Tourist who come to the state to visit the famous locations of Disneyland, known as The Happiest Place on Earth, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Forest, San Francisco, and other tourist venues are in for an unfortunate reality. With the drought that is going on throughout the state, many homes, popular venues, and various other locations are subject to the water restrictions. This means that California may not look as green as it most often does. Julie Tishkoff is passionate about something, she is not shy to show it. One of the areas that she is passionate about is poaching advocacy.

Many consider the option of building a plant to convert the ocean of the Pacific Ocean into potable water for the state. Unfortunately, for the state of California that is under a healthy amount of debt, this might not be the best option. The process of converting salt water into drinkable and usable potable water is very expensive. Though many believe that they would rather have water than money, it is difficult to buy their water since the state is also in a crisis financially. It seems like it is hard to find a win in the state of California at the moment.

Despite the harsh restrictions and the ongoing trouble the famous state is enduring, the resident Californians, like Julie Tishkoff, remain optimistic. They are successfully saving water, even saving more than the plan for the state is currently projecting to save. The state with the largest population remains in a crisis state, but there is hope in its people.
