Miami, FL - Jesus Zeus Salas is pleased to announce that he recently had the opportunity to once again touch the lives of students in Miami. Involved heavily with the Miami Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center since taking part in the Principal for a Day program last December, Jesus Zeus Salas just took part in the Miami Dade County Regional Juvenile Detention Center’s Extravaganza Day as a motivational speaker.

“I think that one of the most important things for students who have run into trouble with the law is to have someone say, you still have plenty of opportunities for success. There are still people who believe in you,” remarked Jesus Zeus Salas. “Otherwise, it can be very difficult for these students to feel like they have a chance of overcoming their circumstances.”

The Miami Dade County Regional Juvenile Detention Center Extravaganza Day is an event that offers youth a chance to get inspired through motivational workshops, encouraging education as the best means through which to achieve success. Jesus Zeus Salas gave a talk on goal setting, in which he helped students identify concrete, reachable goals and make a plan towards reaching them. The presentation was an extension of conversations that Jesus Zeus Salas has had with students at the Miami Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center.

“Working with the students at the Juvenile Justice Center has taught me a considerable amount about the hopes and dreams of youth today,” commented Jesus Zeus Salas about the inspiration for his presentation. “Young people have incredible dreams of being successful and making a difference in the world. It’s just a matter of helping them figure out how to go from where they are now to the positive futures they see for themselves.”

Jesus Salas reports that spending time with the students at Extravaganza Day was an enriching and enlightening experience, and gave him further insight into the hopes and dreams of students in his community. Jesus Zeus Salas looks forward to participating in next year’s Extravaganza Day, as well as further involvement with the Miami Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center.
