Connecticut, US - Donna Hayden is pleased to announce her continued commitment to helping organizations in her area to rescue and provide homes for dogs in need. She has been volunteering at local organizations for years and hopes to continue supporting the same organizations she has always volunteered with.
For as long as she can remember, Donna Hayden has always had a soft spot for dogs. She hates to see dogs given up and abandoned by the owners. She also doesn't think stray dogs deserve to live the way they do. This is the reason that she has been volunteering with many organizations over the years that help these dogs.
One of the primary organizations she works with is called Dog Days Adoption Events. Dog Days Adoption Events is a non-profit organization based out of Connecticut. This organization focuses on helping dogs in need become adopted by loving and caring families. Every event has over 80 dogs available for families or individuals to adopt. Dog Days even includes children and teenagers as volunteers so as it to help spread awareness about dogs in need.
In one event where Donna Hayden was volunteering, they managed to find homes for over 160 dogs. Asked about that day, Donna Hayden recounted, "It was a great day for me personally because I was able to be a part of such a great success. More importantly it was a great day of Dog Days because they accomplished more than they ever thought they would at this event."
Most of Donna Hayden's work with Dog Days is as a ranger. Rangers for the organization help introduce dogs to prospective new owners so they are more receptive to adopting. It gives them a chance to speak with someone who knows more about the dog.
