TROY, MICH. and HOUSTON – Doeren Mayhew, a certified public accounting and advisory firm with locations in Michigan, Texas and Florida, has ranked 67th among the top 100 accounting, tax and business consulting firms in the United States by Accounting Today.

Rankings for the publication’s 2013 “Top 100 Firms” report were based on annual revenue size. Following the completion of the 2013 survey, Doeren Mayhew continued to grow in revenue through a December 2012 merger with Houston-based MFR, P.C., increasing the firm’s annual revenue by 14 percent.

According to the Accounting Today’s report, overall revenue growth is the “new new normal” in the industry. The survey revealed growth just over 8 percent amongst the industry’s leading firms. Growth drivers include an integrated strategic approach to marketing, new offerings, technology, management strength and merger activity, according to the report.

The trends reflect Doeren Mayhew’s growth initiatives, which have included its recent brand refresh, increased marketing efforts and enhanced service offerings through the merger with MFR, P.C., said Mark Crawford, managing shareholder.
