“We sort it out and present it to you in a simple and clear format. You can search from nearly 100 simple categories. That may sound like a lot, but when you see how we break these down, you’ll agree it is a good idea,” she said.

Among the categories are dot matrix printers, external floppy drives, warranties and services and internal tape drives.

“That surprises a lot of people. They see dot matrix printers and think ‘people actually make those still?’ Yes, they are still made and yes people still need and use them,” Ms. Troka said. “This is why we break the electronica into so many categories.”

Each category then shows a list of available products. Click a product and the site jumps to that product. Some products have a video presentation. All have a “check offers,” “add to wish list” and a “customer review” link. All the items also come with a buy now button.

“You don’t have to buy now; that’s why we have the ‘check all offers’ link. You may be able to find it cheaper. We encourage users to check customer reviews as well,” she said.

Each product page is going to give some details about the item and links to similar items. Ms. Troka finds the similar items link is very popular as it lets people compare products easily.

The website is also available in 66 languages. Ms.Troka said she wants the site to be as accessible to as many people as possible.
