Dubai, United Arab Emirates – May 28th, 2015: On May 21st, 2015, Prologix LLC, UAE’s leading System Integrator, hosted an event for its customers at Burj Al Arab, Dubai. Avaya and Fluke Networks collaborated with Prologix for this high key event.
This event was attended by the city’s elite clientele which included CIO’s,IT Heads and high profile delegates from large government and private enterprises.
The event opened with a brief introduction to Prologix, followed by an Introduction to Unified Communications by Mr. Sumedh Ganpate, Mid-Market Practice Lead at Avaya. Mr. Sumedh spoke about the emerging trends in data center systems, IT services and telecommunication set-ups. He emphasized on the 77% gain seen by the CIO’s after implementing custom mobile applications. He also stressed on how Avaya solutions make team engagement more productive, controlcosts for the company and ensurebetter engagement with the customers.
This was followed by a keynote speech on Bridging Borders and Team Engagement through Video Conferencing (VC) by Mr. Diyae Abu Hjeily, Sales Director- Networking solutions at Avaya. He spoke about Avaya Scopia Video collaboration detailing mobile video telephony, conference initiation from IM, Bandwidth Optimization, scalable video code and distributed multipoint architecture. An onsite set-up was successful in demonstrating to the customers the powerful interoperability of the multi-party video solutions from Avaya.
Mr. Maan Al Shakarchi, Sales Director- Networking Solutions at Avaya was the next key speaker at the event who spoke about building enhanced secure flexible fabrics.Mr. Maan provided valuable insights on how the networks can be continuously revamped to keep up with the changing business demands. He spoke on how to reduce time required to service the networks and be able deploy new applications every week. Ways to virtualize devices into one Network Fabric providing elastic Networkswere also addressed.
Following the mid-morning coffee break, Fluke Networks took over with an introduction to the world’s leading provider of Network Performance Solutions vendor with a talkby Mr. Abhishek Hajra, Channel Manager-High Growth Markets at Fluke Networks. Next, Mr. Ramesh Reddy, Solutions Manager at Fluke Networks, elaboratedon ‘Taking control of the Borderless Enterprise’ with Fluke Networks’ plethora of solutions.Mr. Ramesh provided key insights on how the IT Operations Heads can ensure complete end-to-end user experience by swiftly and accurately identifying the reasons for friction between IT and other business teams of the organization.

A very interesting demo of detecting intrusions in a supposedly secure WLAN environment was demonstrated by Fluke Networks. It was revealed to the audiences that despite of having sufficient security measures in place, their wireless network is still susceptible to attacks from undesirable elements. Audiences were introduced to an onsite demo of AirMagnet Enterprise, an all-inclusive 24/7, wireless intrusion prevention system (WIPS) which helps in monitoring systems that provide dedicated monitoring of the airspace to enable the security, performance and compliance of wireless LANs. It is widely used by organizations for complete detection and prevention of wireless threats and also remote troubleshooting.
The grand event ended with a closing speech by Prologix’s MD Mr. Sarwan Singh.
