India cricketer Ravindra Jadeja on Friday shared that there is still a long way to go in the fight against the ongoing global pandemic novel coronavirus and that is why the citizens should follow all the rules imposed by Govt. which also included social distancing and staying at home.

"I am staying home to fight against COVID-19, are you?" Ravindra Jadeja said in the video posted on his Instagram account where he can be seen wearing the blue Indian jersey and doing his famous sword celebrations with his bat instead of a sword.

"There is still a long way to go in this battle against COVID-19. We all got to do our part by staying home to help save lives," he posted the video with this caption.

However, India has been in a nationwide lockdown since March 24 which later has been extended twice due to the critical situation keeping in mind amid the crunch time of COVID-19 cases. It is currently slated to end on May 17 as per the Govt.

If this global pandemic didn’t hit, the India all-rounder Jadeja would have been currently playing for the Chennai Super Kings in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League which has now been postponed for the indefinite time period. Notably, the league was earlier decided to begin from March 29 and later postponed to April 15 as well. However, Jadeja is currently at his home and spending time with his family.

The global pandemic novel coronavirus has so far affected more than 91000 people in India while more than 2800 people have lost their lives because of this virus. While this global pandemic outbreak has stopped all the cricketing activities around the globe, the fate of the ICC T20 World Cup which is slated to be played in Australia later this year remains uncertain too.
