The Cosmodreams exhibition at Erarta was open for two months. It featured 30 paintings, sculptures, an AR experience, an interactive area, and a large-scale LED screen art object, all spread across two rooms of the museum.
The show’s innovative properties were highly praised by more than 40,000 visitors who saw the exhibition. The themes of nostalgic yearning for the Soviet dream of space, aesthetic sophistication and feminine grace so delicately rendered by Marina Fedorova elicited a powerful response from the audience.
Nearly all artworks featured in the exhibition were posted on the visitors’ social media. The most exciting and memorable event was the extemporaneous dance performance to the music composed specifically for the Space Art Odyssey art video, broadcast live on the dance company’s social media. On this occasion, the dancers acted out the parts of space travellers against the backdrop of their initial source of inspiration – the motion graphics shown on screen.
