All non-ferrous metals spare parts are applied the surface chemical treatment without chromium. It improves the ability of anticorrosion and also avoids deleterious material left.

Adopt the good surface paint coating to protect products against corrosion. All “PARSUN” outboards are treated by Well-known brand painting in U.S.A., in order to meet the needs of different materials and medium under different environment preservative effect, each of the relevant parts are sprayed the painting of four to six layers.
Please use alloy anti-corrosive under paint firstly, then paint the surface.
Regular inspect the anode
A. Check the anode after running every 50 hours (or three months). Use the multimeter to check whether the anode have the good electroconductibility, ensure the anode have the good conduction with relevant parts and connecting wires.
B. Cleaning anode. The anode surface would produce some new chemical compound produced by chemical reaction and attached with the aquatic in the water. These factors will cause the anode not continuing work. It will cause serious consequences if the anode could not be cleaned timely. You should remove and clean the anode by the fine sandpaper then re-mounts the anode on the outboards.( we recommend the customer use the new kind “PS09-1” anode to replace the old anode, this way will Simplify your maintenance work).
C. Change anode. It must change the anode when the anode excessive corrosion. Normally, we suggest the customer change the anode for every one year or one year and a half. To avoid the painting, greasing, oil attached on the anode when mounting. To ensure it have the correct physical and electric connection after mount the anode.
Overall, anti-corrosion maintain is an important work for outboards. As long as we maintain the outboards carefully and timely, it could solve this problem. At last, we recommend the customer use the “PS09-1” anode to protect the outboards and get the better result.
Adopt the self sacrifice anode to avoid the electrochemical corrosion on the outboards. Each “PARSUN” outboards have mounted the kirksite anode on the engine and lower casing. Because of outboards are used in the different working strength and environment, in order to ensure the outboards have the good performance and life, user must according to the owner’s manual to maintain the outboards. Especially require anti-corrosion maintenance for outboards. As follows:
The outboards need lift out of the water when non-running. Use the fresh water to clean the cooling water channel in the engine and surface of the outboards after running in the salt water.
Cleaning the surface attachment of the outboards, for example, seaweed, shellfish and other feculence.
If there some wear or tear on the painting when you using outboards, please carry out remedial work in time.
