Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network (ORGAN) India is one of the best NGO's in organ donation to educate the general public to donate body organs after death.

ORGAN – Organ Receiving & Giving Awareness Network is an initiative that was launched in the year 2013 by Parashar Foundation, which is a Delhi based NGO. This NGO has been working in order to help create an ecosystem to facilitate organ donation in India. In addition to this, the NGO also address the dismal state of deceased organ donation in India.

Before moving ahead and learning about the company's role in organ donation, it is imperative to learn what organ donation is?
It is the process of giving a body organ or the part of organ for the purpose of transplantation in another person. But, in order to ensure that the organ can be transplanted or donated both, blood and oxygen must flow through the organ so as to ensure its recovery as well as viability.

The Parashar Foundation was established in the year 2000 and was created to help the poor and less fortunate people by providing them funds so as to ensure their schooling and good health. Previously the organization was involved in donations only, but with time various other causes were also included. Currently, they have a clear goal. i.e. to create a widespread awareness about organ donation in Delhi, that can in turn benefit everyone regardless of religion, age, caste, sex or social standing. Organ Donation After Death is a nobel cause for which every individual should come forward.

You would be surprised to learn that Body Donation in India After Death is also followed. There is a very prominent political figure, Lt. Mr. Jyoti Basu, an eminent political personality from West Bengal donated his body after death.

Brain Death And Organ Donation are also co-related with each other. Technically a brain death is a situation in which brain stem is dead and the brain cannot perform any further operation and this is an irreversible operation. The Brain Stem – The part of the brain that connects the spinal cord to the cortex. When a person incurs a serious head injury, the cortex starts to swell up; however, it cannot expand much further because it is contained in the skull, which is made of hard bone.

ORGAN has initiated a very pious task by waring people about their body organ donation. Pancreas Donation in India and Kidney Donation in India is also becoming much common. Green corridor is also becoming more common in the country. This is again a testimony of awareness among the people.

At the moment in India, legally, it is your next of kin who will decide whether to donate your organs or not. Even if you have pledged your organs, no donation will happen unless the next of kin gives the go ahead. Thus, it is important to keep the last wish known to your kin so that you can be a part of this nobel cause.

This awareness is important therefore, various celebrities are also involved in organ donation. This is a reason why this stream has come into the mainline operation. So, pledge your organ in a simple procedure and be a part of this nobel cause. Always remember you can live twice with this task of organ donation. Something that is most difficult to attain, otherwise. Your organ donor card can become one's life pass!!
