Posted March 4, 2022 by okbuedu2020

Courage and Connection is a recurring event on campus, hosted by Thomas.

[US, 03/04/2022] It is designed to bring together the female students on campus to share with one another, support each other and hear from ladies of faith who have dealt with similar circumstances in their own lives. Attendees are encouraged to bring their coffee or favorite beverage.

Leigh Wilson is married to her husband, Will, who is the pastor of Goldsby Church in Goldsby, Oklahoma. They previously served for a decade at New Hope Baptist in Bethel. The two have been married for almost 20 years and have four children. Leigh is a teacher and leads the ladies ministry and school outreach at their church. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and laughing, but also digging deeper into life’s mysteries and God’s word. She loves worshiping and loves summer, including spending time around the pool and all of the fun and busyness that comes with ministry in the summertime.
This is the first Courage and Connection event of the spring 2022 semester. In the fall, guest speaker Julie Busler, Oklahoma’s president of Women’s Missionary Union, shared in October while LaShai Rhone, insurance agent for The Hartford Insurance Group and wife of Rev. Anthony Rhone of Galilee Baptist Church in Shawnee, shared in November.
