Lesia Stockall Cartelli is the survivor of a gas explosion that occurred just yards away from where she was standing when she was nine years old. This incident left major burn injuries on Lesia, both physically and emotionally, as she was taunted by other children and chose not to speak about her feelings since the day of the explosion. With all of this in mind, Lesia eventually decided to create a non-profit as a support system for other kids who have sustained major burn injuries, because she knows better than most what emotional hardships can come from those physical ailments.
