According to Washington breaking news, a U.S capitol police officer was declared dead after a car rammed into the barricades at Capitol Complex. One more police officer suffered some injuries.

 
The dead police officer has been identified as an 18-year veteran of the Capitol Police and a member of the Capitol Division’s First Responder’s Unit, Pittman said. The accused was shot dead after he failed to respond to the verbal actions of the police. This declaration came shortly after he was admitted into a nearby hospital.

Evans succumbed to the fatal injuries right after the incident. The second police officer is out of danger and in a non-life-threatening condition. President Joe Biden expressed his condolences in a meeting and also updated on the condition of the second officer when the latter was in danger.

The U.S Capitol police’s mental peace lies in jeopardy after the heinous incidents of Jan 6 and this one. People are keeping Evans in their prayers. He is loved by his young son and a daughter, and upon the family's request to the U.S capitol police, their identities are kept hidden.

Jason LaForest, a city councillor for North Adams, remembered Evans as a whole-hearted and ecstatic person who loved cracking jokes and cared for everyone around him. Jolted by the incident, he reminisced Evans’ childhood memories.

“He was an all-American kid in the sense that he grew up in a small town, played sports, and was a member of the band,” said state Rep. John Barrett, a former North Adams mayor.

Robert Contee, acting chief of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, assuring to trace the trajectory of investigation apprehended that this incident was not related to some terrorist attack. Live news nj updated that the suspected man has been identified as Noah Green of 25 years old.
