Katy Perry isn't ready to return to their office the main attraction quite yet.

The singer, who's nominated for seven honors announced via twitter on Monday night she wouldn't be attending Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards.

Tweeting, "Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed.

#katycats." No further explanation was given but I believe her recent split has a little something related to it. This was to be Perry's first public appearance since Russell Brand declared a divorce. And so the only question that stays is, given that Perry's no longer going, can Russell get his invite back?
