Niclas Herle, a helicopter pilot has now delved into providing emergency air medical support, which has been a lifelong dream.
Nick Herle, originally from Germany began his first venture at the age of 15. He launched Herle Radioservices GmbH back in 2005. This service provided communication radio packages to private entities and the government, which is quite the feather in the hat of a teenager. He also took time out to regularly serve in the German Red Cross for 10 years. By the age of 17 he managed to earn his EASA pilot licenses in 2007 at the age of 17. However, due to lack of opportunities in Germany at the time, he moved to the United States to further his career.
In 2011 he moved to the United States where he worked hard to convert his EASA licenses to FAA Commercial, Instrument and Flight Instructor Certificates. While completing his flight training, he also launched Heli Aviation a year later, a flight training service and a utility helicopter company. This business provided flight training at an affordable rate, unlike other services in the area. His fleet consisted of a Robinson R66 Turbine helicopter, the only R66 being used for commercial purposes. His fleet has now grown to 14 helicopters which have also been used for firefighting operations and rescue missions.
He has also gone on to launch flyVENTURE which provides safe aerial sightseeing tours. They have also launched skydiving this year. Despite all these responsibilities, Nick Herle managed to take time out to fly HAA flight missions, satisfying his life-long passion of providing emergency medical services. These services save lives and provide essential care to patients that cannot use other modes of transport. His 13-year accident and incident-free flying record is just what’s needed for the job.
