In case if Supreme Court defends the midwives appeal on earlier level then there might be a chance of legal instance.

12th November 2014, United Kingdom (www.abortionpillrx.com): The United Kingdom’s high ranking court is brought in to provide clearness rule if the midwives can have the right to completely refuse to be involved in the procedures of abortion on the moral grounds. The judges of Appeal Court in Scotland stated that in the previous year that the Roman Catholic midwives Concepta Wood and Mary Doogan had a right to approach a reliable objection. This case was regardless of the fact that the respective pairs were not even actively concerned in the termination session.

The NHS GGC (Greater Glasgow and Clyde) took this case to make an appeal at the concerned Supreme Court. The 5 judges who are in the panel of Supreme Court is in line to hear the case this Tuesday. Mrs Wood is from Clarkston (East Renfrewshire) and Ms Doogan from Glasglow (Garrowhill) were the labour ward co-ordinators and were employed so at the Southern General Hospital, Glasglow.

This issue is after a period of 50 years post the process of abortion which became legal in England, Wales and Scotland and it still remains as the deep level sensitive case for both the supporters and to those on whom the objection of abortion was made on diligent grounds.

It is stated in the Roman Catholic doctrine, the beginning of a life starts at the stage of conception and hence no human hold any right to take the unborn child’s life. Although there are women of Catholic section who seek the termination / abortion in United Kingdom. This has made the Roman Catholic Church to take a stand and underpinned the pro-life group as these groups challenged the act (1967 Abortion Act), its legalization and interpretation.

Although with the scenarios, various Christian groups are backing the position of the midwives. With both practicing the Roman Catholics and made arguments that they believe in the religious teachings and that every human life is completely sacred from conception moment and hence pregnancy termination is a kind of grave level offense that is against human life.

In case if Supreme Court defends the midwives appeal on earlier level then there might be a chance of legal instance. According to the counsel Gerry Moynihan for the Midwives, the women’s previous successful kind of appeal that law was not unclear to apply and timely assistance to the whole team was completed required for achieving the set of procedures.

In previous year, there was overturning of the judgement by Lady Smith who is the appeal court judge. NHS GGC then at a later period inquired the Supreme Court to make examination if Sec 4 (1) of Abortion Act 1967 extends to the labour ward co-ordinator. The law provides one with a provision that states that “ no person shall be there under any duty” and to participate in any of such treatments that require authorization by the Act and in which the individual is to have a conscientious level of objection” which is extended to the labour ward co-ordinators.

It would be a case of gross injustice in case the interpretation of the conscientious level of objection that is allowed to and might cause further disruptive kinds of services to such extent where the women who were actually able to do will feel disrupted.
