The eight-episode series unwinds in the picturesque Himalayan city of Sikkim after a girl is murdered bizarrely. As the prophetic endowments rise to inhabit more and more people, a lately transferred policeman Arup who is enacted by Sanjay Kapoor is charged to resolve the murders that are taking place in the otherwise crime-free town.
Although, the mysterious deaths baffle his times of expertise, which coerces Arup to solicit the guidance of a local informer and a shaman named Dev. Dev is enacted by a debut actor from the North East – Karma Takapa who was formerly a film – director as well.
Though, Dev is more than a just local informer; his supernatural abilities lie in his capacity to interact with the spirits of the dead people. And then there’s a phase between the shaman and the girl of the cop, who has been investigating the honesty about an incident from the past concerning her parents. Will the shaman be shredded between his love for Pari and his duty towards the dead?
Other than the fantastic characters of Sanjay Kapoor, Shahana Goswami, and Raima Sen, the mysterious crime thriller drama The Last Hour screening on Amazon Prime Video will attribute most of its prosperity to the men following the screen. However, Sanjay Kapoor is a veteran actor; he still had to audition for the character of Arup for the first time in 25 years of his career.
Director Karma Takapa has made his debut as an actor with The Last Hour and his performance in the show is quite amazing and is being appreciated by the masses. The show is written, directed, and produced by Anupama Minz and Amit Kumar, who had earlier written and directed Bypass in the year 2003, which was one of the most notable Indian shorts ever, featuring Irrfan Khan and a comparatively unknown Nawazuddin Siddiqui at that moment.
