Irul was one of the first movies to be shot at the time of Covid-19 restrictions, and it looks like a massive effort, as most of the movie is shot in a house with a cast of just three, which was not a big issued. While Irul’s story is a mysterious thriller, most of the film’s questions will lead the audience to think – why are they doing this?
The movie has Soubin playing the character of a writer whose name is Alex Parayil, who has written a thriller by the eponymic title. Dhanya Rajendran is playing his always busy lawyer love interest Archana Pillai. Alex calls over Archana for fun and a tranquil weekend away from her usual day-to-day business, without phones and wifi, and she happily agrees after a few, please.
Alex had planned a great surprise, but as they went forward on the hill station road in the rainy dark night, which did not go up the plan. The car breaks down in the middle of the road, and they do not have their mobile phones, which led them to no other option than to ask for help from the nearest house that could be seen in slight light. Fahadh Faasil can be seen in the character of a mysterious Unni. It turns out to be a very strange and awkward situation, with murder as well as darkness sneaking, and the questions that arise among the trio that forms the rest of the movie, which will keep you on edge and head you back at a place in disappointment.
