UA Theatrical Design takes Center Stage to STATE.....and the UA Theatre (Coppell) is one step from making it to the UIL High School One Act Play State Competition!

Congratulations to Carrie Johnson who heads the UA Visual Art Department the student's Group Design entry of this years theme "Into the Woods" from Irving has qualified as a State finalist in the UIL Theatrical Design Competition. This makes UA's 6th appearance in the design competition at State. In 2015, this group placed 5th in the State 1A Theatrical Design Competition. The final judging and competition will be held at the University of Texas in Austin on April 14th. Let's wish the students and Mrs. Johnson well....Eagle Champions!

The stage is set!!! On Friday, April 7th at 2:30 pm at Central High School in Ft. Worth....The Coppell Theatre Arts program will make history competing in the UIL 1A Regional One Act Play Competition!!! This makes the first time that Universal Academy's Theatre Arts program has advanced and competed in the Regionals!! "The Chastening" directed by Jason Spinos & Jimilee Rempee featuring: Best Actor for District & Area- Quinton Lott; and award winning actors Fawzan Amer & Sai Vaddavalli has soared throughout this years HS OAP competition. This is the final step to the State Competition held at the University of Texas in Austin on April 21st. Let's wish the students and Mr. Spinos & Ms. Rempee well....Eagle Champions!
