JEE is one of the most challenging and prestigious entrance exams in India. Every year, lakhs of students take this test to gain entry into engineering colleges. JEE (M) is also the qualifying exam for JEE (Advanced) which is the gateway to the highly reputed IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).

Till 2018, the exam was conducted by the CBSE but from 2019 onwards, it is the responsibility of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is also set to be conducted twice a year.
