Underscoring its building reputation as one of Asia’s fastest growing specialist hospital and travel industry executive search outfits, ACI HR Solutions has been awarded the prestigious ‘Best Newcomer Award’ at the 2015 Recruitment International Asia Awards.

Accepting the award at the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore last week, ACI founder and CEO, Andrew Chan said the honour had even more meaning given the recognition emanated from the company’s recruitment sector peers.

“This is a major accolade for ACI after three years of very hard work carving out a handhold in an at times tough and highly competitive environment,” Mr Chan said

“But we also need to acknowledge that this award is also a win for travel and hospitality and validation for the vibrancy of the regional sector and the role it plays today as a major source of employment.

Singapore, Hong Kong and in particular China and India’s tourism sectors are continuing to grow, he said, in the process attracting a plethora of tourism sector recruitment needs.

“The reality is, while the tourism sector continues to grow, as do the employment opportunities, finding talent to work in the industry remains a challenge, especially that talent with the experience and specialist skills.

“There is a pressing need to develop the strategies required if the sector is to attract and engage the right talent and particularly the ‘next generation’ of employees needed as the sector continues to grow into the future at a rate of knots.

“This is critical if the tourism sector is to successfully compete against other industries into the future.
