Actuator valve and electric actuator valve

In this write up, he deals with Electric actuated ball valve, electric actuator valve. in a very effective way.

An actuator valve is a process of opening and closing a valve. There are manually operated valves, and there are electric actuator valves. The manual actuator valve needs a person to attend the valve to adjust the same using a direct or geared mechanism, which is fixed to the valve stem. But the electric or power-operated actuators use a medium such as gas pressure, hydraulic pressure, electrical pressure, etc. to adjust the valve remotely and also permit such operation in the case of large valves.
The electric valve actuators automatically control the flow, level and the other process. While the actuators are used just to open and close the valve, though it also allows intermediate positioning, the valve actuators offer the functionality to switch and remotely find the valve position.
The actuator valve finds immense application in the industries where automation of industrial valves is needed. The actuators are used in all types of process plants. They are also used in systems such as:
• waste water treatment plants
• power plants
• refineries
• mining and nuclear processes
• food industries
• Pipelines, and many more
The valve actuators play a key part in automating the process control. The valves that need automation can have different design and dimensions. The diameters of the valves can be between one-tenth of an inch to many feet.
There are four main types of actuators - manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric.
Manual Actuator: A manual actuator uses levers, gears, and wheels to move the valve stem. Manual actuators use hand and no machine or automation. Manual actuators are an inexpensive option that is also easy to operate. In the case of large valves which cannot operate manually and are located in the remote and hazardous type of environments cannot use manual operations.
Pneumatic Actuator: when a gas o air pressure is applied as a power source, it is the pneumatic valve actuator. Often used on linear or quarter-turn valves, the pneumatic valve actuator uses air pressure which acts on a piston to generate a linear force on a valve stem. There can also be a quarter-turn vane actuator that generates torque so that a rotary motion is created that helps to operate a quarter-turn valve.
Hydraulic actuators: These can convert fluid pressure into motion. They work just like pneumatic actuators, in which a linear or quarter-turn valves are used. There is a flow pressure that acts on the piston which generates linear thrust for gate or globe valves. The actuator produces torque to create the rotary motion that operates a quarter-turn valve.
Electric actuator valve: This one uses an electric motor to create a torque so that the valve can work. They are quiet, non-toxic, and energy-efficient actuator.
