Alpha Destination Management, a market leader in the tourism sector in the GCC, invited its top tour operators from the UK and Germany to experience the ultimate weekend in Abu Dhabi. Organised in association with Yas Experiences, the UAE’s premier entertainment and leisure destination, the group was treated to an action-packed weekend with an exciting line-up of activities.

On Thursday, the first stop-over for the group was the luxurious Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas where the participants enjoyed its facilities and F&B outlets. In between, the group experienced a thrilling driving session at the track in Yas Marina Circuit.


Yas Viceroy, the jewel of Yas Marina, extended its hospitality with a delicious brunch on Friday. Post brunch, Alpha wanted to mark this trip with a memorable achievement that will create a bond between the tour operators and this amazing destination, so the group had a huge surprise waiting for them! In a bid to break the world record in ‘The most double high five in relay in three minutes’, Alpha had specially flown in the Guinness World Record team from the UK to overlook and certify this activity.

The Tour operators, the Alpha team, and the Yas Island stakeholders have succeeded in doing so, thus winning the Guinness World Record. This called for a celebration, so it was party time at the hugely popular Stills Bar in Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island.


On Saturday, the group was given a guided tour of Abu Dhabi with Louvre Abu Dhabi being the highlight followed by a preview and lunch at Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island. Rounding off the trip in style Alpha Destination Management flew the tour operators back to Dubai by a special helicopter landing them at the company’s helipad at Atlantis The Palm Dubai.
