​Gurugram, 26 May 2020: The leading Cambridge (IGCSE )and IB school of Gurugram – Amity Global School celebrated Mothers’ Day during the ongoing lockdown by organising a virtual yoga session for its primary year programme (PYP) students and their mothers.

Sitting in front of their laptops and desktops on yoga mats, the mothers enjoyed participating in different exercises with their children. The online session was not only a good way to practise different yogasans for good health but also an opportunity to nurture bonds between mothers and their little ones, with several mom-child pairs involved in the activity.

The session was led by the yoga and PE teachers of Amity Global School, one of the ​top international schools in Gurgaon. Whereas the PYP students have been religiously attending their online classes to cover their curriculum for academic session 2019 - 2020, they also get regular opportunities to rejuvenate themselves and stay upbeat during the coronavirus crises. The yoga session for Mothers’ Day was a part of such refreshment.

Yoga Day is formally observed across the world on 21 June but since people are confined indoors during the lockdown, every day can be used for some simple exercises that are hidden in yoga. Mothers could devote some time for this healthy practice on their special day and children also enjoyed the activity, enthused by the involvement of their parent.
