Michael Calk went to Masonic Home High School, a facility that was initially a home for widows and orphans, from 1989 to 1992. After graduating from Masonic Home, Michael attended Cisco College in Cisco, Texas. He graduated in 1994 with a degree in business administration and management.

His first significant job out of college was as a reliability consultant at Lubrication Engineers. Michael Calk moved to Corpus Christi and worked at Lubrication Engineers for more than 17 years, leaving in March of this year. After his time at Lubrication Engineers, Michael accepted a job at The Wheeless Group as general manager.

One of Michael Calk’s strengths is communication. His time working as a consultant helped him develop a strong ability to collaborate with others. At Lubrication Engineers, Michael needed to work with and explain various aspects of the oil and energy industry to many different companies. As general manager at The Wheeless Group, Michael must communicate and coordinate groups across the entire organization. His ability to work well with people brings him great respect from peers and coworkers. In ten years, he hopes to be mentoring and training salespeople.

In his personal life, Michael Calk loves spending time with his friends and family. He enjoys taking his family on skiing and camping trips. Michael has also traveled to London, England, where he visited Stonehenge and Oxford University. This international experience helped him realize the value of global travel and he hopes to visit France, Germany, and Australia sometime in the near future.

Michael Calk was an athlete in high school. He played on the football and basketball teams and competed as a boxer. Though he does not play those sports anymore, he skis and golfs as often as he can. His favorite sports team is the football team at the University of Texas at Austin. Michael and his family will frequently travel to Austin to watch the Longhorns play football.

In the future, Michael hopes to work for a company that understands his desire to have a solid balance between his work and home life. He wants to work for a good company with good people.
