Metro Safety Training provides 3 levels of First Aid training to enable people to help injured individuals, providing them with immediate help to mitigate damage.

Coquitlam, BC : First-aid refers to the medical attention provided to those suffering from a minor or major injury. Its purpose is to stabilize the injured person and can help limit the damage caused by the injury. First-aid training consists of different levels, with each providing a deeper level of care and attention as well as complexity.

Metro Safety Training is a BCCSA certified and Red Cross Training Partner, that provides safety and first aid training to professionals. Their goal is to teach people to deal with crises and emergencies at their homes and workplaces. They provide all three tiers of first aid training to help individuals become capable of providing immediate attention.

“As important as prevention is, you can never really be too safe, and someone can get hurt. Be it at home, school or work, a person runs the risk of suffering an injury, and we provide different levels of first-aid training to help people deal with the problems. While people wait for paramedics to take action, our courses can equip them to determine the situation and take preliminary action,” a correspondent for Metro Safety Training stated.

“Using the Red Cross training we provide, you can make the job easier for doctors and other medical professionals when a patient is eventually passed on to them by taking primary care and defusing the situation to some extent,” the correspondent added.
Level 1 safety training does not require any prior certifications to take part, with the only requirement being that the applicant be 16 years of age. It can enable students and teachers to be aware of a medical emergency and perform basic first-aid.

Level 2 is far more extensive, being a 36-hour course that takes place over a week. It is especially recommended for professionals as it can help take care of most workplace accidents and injuries. It involves paper-based tests as well as physical activities to get a proper feel for operation.
Level 3 is a 72-hour course, requiring you to learn all the necessary skills of first-aid. Apart from physical tests to prove your skills, it also involves homework, handing in assignments and papers. You will receive a 3-year certificate from WorkSafe BC at the end of the training.
