The leading first aid training school in BC continues to offer different levels of first aid training and workplace safety courses to its students during an unprecedented time.

Coquitlam, BC: Metro Safety Training has been providing top-quality education on first aid and health safety ever since its inception in 2008. The training school continues to educate its students amid the COVID-19 pandemic, understanding that health education is the most right now that it has ever been.

At a conference, one of the representatives from Metro Safety Training commented, “As North America and other parts of the world respond to the novel coronavirus and its deadly consequences, we find ourselves extremely concerned about what the future will look like. We want to reveal that we will continue educating our students on how to protect their health and that of others during this chaotic time. We're adopting preventative measures daily to eliminate the risk of exposure to the coronavirus and contain the spread.”

As the training school announces to continue their classes until further notice, they are ensuring everything is done in compliance with the safety guidelines for social distancing provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Canadian Red Cross.

“At our first aid training school, we have deployed a set of guidelines and safety procedures that helps us to assess, monitor, and respond to the health concerns in our classes. We are doing everything in our power to ensure maximum safety and well-being of our work environment and the local community, including our students, the training staff, and every other person employed in our training school,” the representative continued to speak.

Students are restricted from attending the classes if they exhibit any signs of fever, difficulty breathing, cough, and others 24 hours before the class. The affected students can contact the Metro Safety Training and get their training rescheduled for later. In addition to this, the training school is taking the following measures to ensure safety during classes:

• Students and instructors are strictly required to wear masks and gloves during the sessions and training.

• Students and instructors must wash their hands using soap and water for twenty seconds before and after the class, before and after snacks, and before and after training and practice sessions. Even while wearing gloves, they are required to follow proper hand hygiene before wearing the gloves and after taking them off.

• Everyone is required to be at a distance of at least 6 feet from each other at all times.
