E-waste Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance

As per E-waste Management Rules, 2016, Every Producer after getting Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Authorization from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)

 
According to the 2016 E-waste Management Rules, each Producer must abide by the authorization's terms after receiving an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Authorization from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

‘Producer' refers to anyone who (i) manufactures and sells electrical and electronic equipment and their components, consumables, parts or spares under their own brand, (ii) sells assembled electrical and electronic equipment and their components, consumables, parts or spares under their own brand, regardless of the selling technique used (dealer, retailer, e-retailer, etc.).

Set-up collection centers and mode of channelization as per EPR plan

Collection and channelization of e-waste generated from the ‘end-of-life' of their products or ‘end-of-life' products with the same electrical and electronic equipment code, as well as historical waste available on the date these rules come into force.




Keeping Form-2 records of every e-waste handled and making them available for inspection by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) or the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) concerned
