Hyatt Regency Warsaw now has its own honey "Łazienki Gold"

The Hyatt Regency Warsaw has 100,000 bees on its roof producing honey, which is served for breakfast at the Venti-tre Restaurant.

Hyatt Regency Warsaw is the first and the only hotel in Poland, which has two bees’ families on its roof. The honey named under “Łazienki Gold” label became very popular among Hyatt guests, who have this opportunity to try honey for breakfast at Venti-tre Restaurant. Hyatt Regency Warsaw is the only hotel in Poland, which has set up the bees apiaries and produces its own honey. This idea origins from a global philosophy “Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served.” focused on sourcing and providing food and beverage options that are good for Hyatt guests, associates and local community. This philosophy guide food and beverage planning at Hyatt properties from the operational level to the guest experience. With this new global identity, Hyatt properties will work to anticipate and satisfy the evolving preferences of its guests, ensuring that travelers have more options to fit their lifestyles while staying in Hyatt hotels around the world.

We do not need to persuade anybody of valuable benefits of honey, so Hyatt Regency Warsaw guests can feel special tasting the unique honey prepared especially for them. Honey is one of the most obvious symbols of health, because bees live only where the environment is clean and healthy. Bees have adopted very well on the Hyatt roof terrace and have become the part of the ecosystem.

From the beginning of May, the bees have been collecting the nectar from the trees in Łazienki Park, located opposite Hyatt, and turning it into honey that is now served in the Venti-tre Restaurant. The green surroundings of the hotel are a perfect place for bees to collect nectar. The bees’ work has been monitored and supervised by Marek Barzyk, a beekeeper of an ecological apiary in the mountain area of Podkarpacie Province (in Poland) that is well-known for its natural beauty and exceptionally clean and fresh air. Marek Barzyk has extensive experience in the production of honey and aims to develop a healthy honey bee colony without resorting to artificial methods. Through his work, bees have adapted well at Hyatt roof with the benefit for hotel’s guests and local community, as the role of bees is priceless: they have the crucial task of pollinating flowers and plants, without which, the food chain would collapse.

Another surprise from Hyatt Regency Warsaw is that not only the hotel guests can enjoy the Hyatt Regency Warsaw honey, it will also be offered for sale under “Łazienki Gold” label.
