AOS Public Blockchain Embraces the DeFi Trend in Its 2.0 Stage

Speaking of the privacy track of the blockchain industry, the AOS public blockchain is an inevitable project. As a leader in the privacy field, AOS has created a number of industry firsts.

The AOS team has released a new development roadmap in January of this year. In the new development plan, it shifted from focusing on privacy to Defi, cross-chain, new finance and other fields. These areas are the future development trends of the blockchain industry, opening the way to the advancement of AOS 2.0.

The Road to Defi
As of March 2021, the value of assets locked in the Defi market has exceeded US$60 billion, with a half-year growth rate of over 1,000%. Defi market that invigorated the blockchain industry and created many new opportunities at the same time. In the next two to three years, AOS will focus on building web 3.0 open financial infrastructure and attract financial-related projects to join the AOS ecosystem.

1. Algorithmic Stablecoin Plan
Centralized stablecoins such as USDT and USDC have long faced the risk of supervision and false additional issuance. To avoid such risks, a number of algorithmic stablecoins have emerged, such as the smart contract collateral-backed stable coin DAI, the price-elastic stable coin AMPL, and the stablecoin Basis Gold. Stablecoins that have their respective advantages, such as DAI’s decentralized governance, AMPL’s flexible transaction mechanism, and Basis Gold’s multi-token mechanism, can make the stable coins close to $1 to a certain extent.
A new algorithmic stablecoin applied to the AOS blockchain will be created, taking advantage of the coin and removing the disadvantages, that support basic exchange functions based on the AOS-based Defi ecosystem.
Relying on the advantages of AOS zero-knowledge proof + smart contract, this kind of algorithmic stablecoins can be designed with privacy-preserving functions. When the market needs dark pool tradings, ordinary stablecoins can be converted into privacy stablecoins to provide the necessary transaction service.

2. Asset Integration Platform
Currently, there are two main types of asset integration: fiat currency asset and conventional financial products. The former is to provide on-chain asset transaction services to users by binding related stable assets or high-value assets and legal currency of a specific country or region. And the existing financial product integration has a very wide range of application scenarios. In the case of the US stock market, for example, users in many regions will be subject to screening or exchange rate control when they want to open a US stock market account. However, through an asset integration platform, you can freely trade by issuing some U.S. stocks as asset tokens and then releasing them back to a decentralized trading platform. In other words, you can trade US stocks directly, bypassing the complex centralized trading process.
The AOS 2.0 roadmap will provide the foundational service for the asset integration platform by preparing a systematic, high-performance, and scalable smart asset protocol.

3. Derivatives Trading Platform
Futures leveraged derivatives and index derivatives are upgraded versions of financial development. Despite the urgent demand for such derivatives trading platforms in the current market, the speed of platform development is very slow. The main reason is the poor performance based on ETH and the high fee limit. Although Layer 2 is trying to solve this problem, it still has a long way to go.
On the other hand, AOS compensated for the shortcomings of Ethereum. Currently, the TPS of AOS has reached 10000+, and on-chain transfers are made free of charge and instantaneous. It can meet the high-frequency trading needs of derivatives platforms, frequently call smart contracts without spending fees, improve user experience and reduce costs. It is the preferred platform for derivatives development.
We can see that the 2.0 development plan of AOS has opened up new industry opportunities for AOS, but also it will face many challenges.
