MIAMI (July 19, 2019) – Nationally recognized public accounting firm MBAF has promoted three professionals to the position of Director. The announcements were made by the firm’s Chairman and CEO, Tony Argiz.

Jordan Argiz, CPA, has been promoted to Director in both the Audit Department and Risk & Transaction Advisory practice, and is based in MBAF’s Miami office. Argiz has been providing assurance and consulting services to companies in various industries including automotive dealerships, professional sports franchises and stadium facilities, real estate, technology, wholesale/distribution, and others since 2012. He has extensive experience in conducting buyer-side and seller-side due diligence as well as pre-IPO readiness projects, and has been involved in advising clients on complex technical accounting matters including: carve-out financial statements; business combinations; variable interest entity and other consolidation matters; related party transactions; derivative instruments; and revenue recognition. Argiz received a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from Florida State University.

Andres Dominguez, CPA, has been promoted to Director in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF’s Miami office. Dominguez has been in the public accounting profession since 2008 and provides tax planning, US tax compliance, and reporting services for both domestic and international clients. He specializes in US inbound and outbound transactions related to foreign family-held businesses, pre-immigration planning, and cross border transaction analysis. In addition, Dominguez is a subject matter resource in respect to Passive Foreign Investment Companies (PFIC), Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFC) Subpart F, and the Foreign Investment Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA). He also has insight into the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) requirements for domestic and international clients. He earned his Bachelor of Accounting and Executive Master of Science in Taxation from Florida International University.

Gregory Silverstein, CPA, has been promoted to Director in the Tax and Accounting Department at MBAF’s Palm Beach office. Silverstein has been in the accounting industry since 2000 and specializes in providing tax compliance and planning services for high-net-worth individuals, estates, trusts, charitable foundations, and privately held companies including partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations. His expertise also includes federal and state tax compliance, estate planning, charitable giving strategies, and asset protection techniques. In addition, Silverstein helps clients navigate through complex federal and state tax audits. He earned both his Bachelor and Master of Accounting from the University of Florida.
