Matter of Software is a custom software development company based in the UK – our services include Mobile App Development, Custom Software and Web Development. We were originally founded in 2004 in Denmark by Ryan Bishop who found himself working in Denmark due to the opportunities in Scandinavia. The business was brought back to the UK and incorporated here in 2008 as Jack Enterprises Ltd.

In 2018 Matter of Software (a trading name of Matter of Ltd) was founded to house the software business that had been developed over the last 14 years in Jack Enterprises Ltd. The reason for the change was simple – to focus our team on our singular mission to deliver the best custom software development solutions for our clients.

By re-branding and re-launching we wanted to show how we have evolved from a sub-contractor to consultancies (Accenture, IBM etc) and a white labelling company (delivering services under other companies names) through to a software development company that directly manages our own customers. This enables us to offer the same great value directly to our customers, we can better control the information flow and ultimately deliver solutions that more closely match the client need.

Our principle consultant Ryan Bishop has 20+ years experience in the IT Industry. He is a certified IT professional from the British Computer Society, he is a qualified Enterprise Architect (TOGAF9) and certified Project Manager (PRINCE2). He has worked in a large number of industries including Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Retail, Finance and Healthcare to name a few. His functional experience spans complete business operations including Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Logistics (Warehousing and Distribution) and Production/Manufacturing.

Technically he is as comfortable discussing strategic objectives and the use of technology as he is reviewing a solution delivery plan. His passion and understanding for business process optimisation ensure every client project starts and ends with a focus on what are we trying to achieve, how can we measure that and can we further improve for the business.
