According to the witnesses, a man without a job before setting himself on fire had tied himself on the railing outside Selly Oak Jobcentre in Birmingham. May be the reason was a problem with some kind of payment. A man who was 48 years old, whose identity ha not yet been revealed came at the centre and was making threats that he is going to set his own self on fire. For this he was also carrying petrol. All this happened just before the clock was to struck 9:30.
After this, he tied himself up to the railings of the building in the Harborne Lane, Selly Oak, before he ripped off the legs of his trousers and then started a fire. Although fire extinguishers were sprayed on his legs but he suffered burns on his lower legs.
According to an onlooker, this guy came into the Job centre along with petrol and was making threats, so that the whole building can be evacuated. Talks were doing round that this issue was something to do with some kind of payment that he not received from bay be them or may someone else also. When he set himself on fire, the spell of fumes because of the liquid he used, it was all around. But the police came on time just when he had set himself up on fire and then they managed to put tie fire off on time in a quick manner. The witness had to add that if he did such kind of a thing then it meant that he would have been very desperate.
