In simple and straight words it is the process in which roots of the hairs from back of the head(scalp) transferred to the bald areas.

As you can see that back head hairs never falls because they are genetically more resistance to fall.

Methods of Hair Transplant

Hair transplant can be done by mainly 2 methods.

1. FUT(Follicular Unit Transplant) also called as strip method.

In this method a strip of the skin along with its follicles is harvested from the back side of the head. Follicles are separate from this strip and
then implanted on to the bald area.

The area of harvesting is then closed with skilled sutures. This method is very useful in large bald area.

2. FUE(Follicular Unit Extraction)

In this method follicles are extracted from the back side of the head directly and then implanted onto the bald area. No sutures required as skin is not harvested.
Useful in small and medium baldness cases.
