Traveling to India for Tourism and required documents:
the Government of India launched the Indian e-Visa system for foreigners traveling to India. If you are from the United States, the UK, and many other countries you need a passport and a Visa to visit India for traveling.
In order to submit your application, we require the following documents:
A digital copy of the bio page of your passport in PDF format.
A digital passport photo in JPEG format.
A credit/debit card or PayPal account for the payment.
The Indian e-Visa is not available to Diplomatic / Official Passport Holders. You will also be a colored passport-sized photograph of you that was taken recently. Its size should not be more than 3MB. The background should be white for clarity of the image.

The validity of the Indian e-tourist visa for tourism:
The Indian e-Visa for Tourism is valid for 60 days from the date of arrival in India while as
Indian conference e-visa is valid for 30 days.
1. Two entries are allowed for Indian e-Tourist Visa.
2. A maximum of two visits is allowed in one calendar year.
3. The validity of the Indian e-tourist visa will be 365 days from the date of the grant of ETA.
4. Multiple entries are permitted for the Indian e-tourist visa.
Example: If 30 days ETA granted on 10 September 2019, an applicant can enter India before 9 October 2019 any date. If he/she will arrive in India on 25 September 2019, he/she can stay in India until 24 October 2019.
Eligibility of an Indian e-tourist visa for tourism:
International Travellers whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight-seeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.

Passport should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.

International Travellers should have a return ticket or onward journey ticket, with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.

International Travellers having Pakistani Passport or Pakistani origin may please apply for regular Visa at Indian Mission.

Not available to Diplomatic/Official Passport Holders.

Not available to individuals endorsed on Parent’s/Spouse’s Passport i.e. each individual should have a separate passport.

Not available to International Travel Document Holders.
