GreyOrange launches the Butler System for warehouse picking process

GreyOrange has launched the Butler system to automate the Goods-to-person order fulfillment. The GreyOrange Robotic Goods-to-person system includes the Butler, Pick Put Stations, Mobile Storage Units (MSU) and charging stations. The Butler robots perform the core job of bringing the goods to the person/operator. They come in two variants – Butler M that can handle payloads as high as 500 kgs and Butler XL that can handle payloads as high as 1600 kgs. The MSUs are designed to handle inventory of all sizes and shapes are completely customizable. They can handle various inventory storage types as sacks, drums and cases. They can also meticulously store fragile items and the MSUs move across the warehouses with Butlers. The PickPut stations serve as the interface between the warehouse and the operators.. The Butlers use the latest technology like Sensors, ML, AI and complex algorithms to navigate safely within the warehouse. The Butler Robotic Goods-to-person can handle up to 48 orders simultaneously and error-free.

The latest addition to the GreyOrange Robotic Goods-to-person system is the Butler PickPal, an autonomous picking robot that picks the items from the Mobile Storage Units (MSU) and puts them in a basket or bag that is ready for shipping. The PickPal works alongside the Butler system and the operator and ensures the highest level of accuracy in picking and order fulfillment with zero human intervention.

All these robots are managed and controlled by a decision driven intelligent software, GreyMatter, which can be seamlessly integrated with a WMS (Warehouse Management Software) or an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning). The software comes with pre-built intelligence and works like a charm by adapting itself to different industries.

Sortation is another crucial process in a warehouse where the items that are packed for shipping need to be profiled, sorted and made ready for delivery. With most big players in the online retail sector promising next-day delivery to 4-hour delivery, automated Warehouse Sorting Systems have become the norm for the warehouses of all the e-stores. GreyOrange has launched their ingenious sorter, the Linear Sorter that optimizes the sorting process and makes the process pilferage and error free. The Linear Sorter is fairly simple to learn and work with. It accepts packed products are all sizes and shapes – regular and irregular through a conveyor system. Then it equally spaces them and profiles them with 2D barcodes. The barcodes are then scanned from all sides and the packed item are then sorted based on the set metrics like volume, weight, shipping mode, location etc. It just takes a flashing 10 seconds for an item to be profiled and sorted on a Linear Sorter. Linear Sorter, the most advanced Warehouse Sorting Systems from GreyOrange can handle anywhere between 5 and 200 locations seamlessly. The installation of the Linear Sorter is fairly simple and can be completed in a little over a week!
