Dinner In The Sky at Solaire is a new and unique dining experience with a feast that will literally take them up in the air.

Entertainment City, Parañaque—Solaire Resort & Casino invites diners to elevate their taste buds with Dinner In The Sky, a one-of-a-kind experience that takes dining to new heights literally.

Dinner In The Sky officially launched last April 3. The idea is to lift a large, covered platform 150 feet up in the air with a crane. The platform includes a rectangular table that seats 22 guests and a small kitchen that is manned by three waiting staff and chef, all of whom are strapped for safety.

The breathtaking views of Manila Bay sunset at the 5:30 p.m. trip and the city skyline at 7 p.m., paired with Solaire’s signature fine dining flair, make up for a once-in-a-lifetime dinner worth getting high for.

Open until May 21, 2018, Dinner In the Sky will host five different chefs every week during the entire run, with each having their own menu that will offer guests a taste of both Filipino and world-class culinary talents.

Chef Hylton Le Roux will open the festivities, helming the kitchen from April 4–8, followed by Chef Alan Marchetti of Finestra (April 9–15), Yakumi’s Chef Norimasa Kosaka (April 16–23), and Chef Kenneth Cacho of the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (April 24–May 7). Michelin star Chef Yves Mattagne of Sea Grill in Brussels will be the final act for the remaining dates (May 8–21).

There will also be three different experiences available for diners, aptly named Economy, Business, and First Class. Exclusive guests get to enjoy bottles of champagne or wine, as well as fresh oysters and The Patisserie’s Signature chocolates.

Dinner In The Sky started in Belgium by Stefan Kerkhofs 12 years ago and has hosted 5,000 events in more than 45 cities. Dinner In The Sky has been to iconic locations like the Las Vegas Strip, Dubai Marina, St. Lawrence River, Copacabana beach, Cape Town Bay, and Petronas Twin Towers. It has since been named one of the most unusual restaurants by Forbes magazine.
Made possible in partnership with MMI Live and DITS Asia, Dinner In The Sky at Solaire is only the third location of this innovative dining experience in Southeast Asia.

Arvin Randahwa, CEO of DITS Asia, says, “We are especially excited about its launch as Filipinos are known to be adventurous and fun-loving people.” CEO of MMI Live Rhiza Pascua, meanwhile, believes that “…it’s about time that Filipinos experience the best in the world in our own shores, for the Philippines to become a destination for culinary adventures and one-of-a-kind experiences. We deserve it.”

Those who have safety issues can rest assured that Dinner In the Sky is designed with platform and machinery that adhere to German guidelines on flying structures and are all regularly checked and maintained.

Everyone on board is strapped with safety belts, while the crew has safety harnesses at all times. Guests will be briefed before the flight about safety guidelines, and there is constant communication with the crane operator and ground crew throughout.
