Bethesda Game Studios is almost completely mum about "The Elder Scrolls 6," but there has to be good reason about the silence. For one, the game developer is very busy with two other titles for the moment, "The Elder Scrolls Online" and the special, remastered edition of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim," which is intended for release on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The good news though is that Bethesda might have taken a different approach as of late by becoming a bit more open about the upcoming sixth installment of "The Elder Scrolls," although that doesn't change the fact that there still is no progress as to the release, or at least the development of the game.

In a series of questions and answers via Twitter, Pete Hines of Bethesda said that his company isn't planning on giving any major information about the upcoming game until the formal announcement. Although that sounds quite negative, fans of "The Elder Scrolls" series should be happy with the fact that game is indeed within the plans of the developer.

So, even if it is months or years away from an actual release, it still should be looked upon as positive news, considering that a few weeks ago, there were already some speculations that the game was no longer being pursued by Bethesda.

Per Gaming Bolt, there's not really much to be concerned with Bethesda's continuing denial to hand out information about the game since it has been that way from the beginning. According to the report, they never considered it a practice or tradition to announce their games, unless it's already close to being released. The company is also very consistent when announcing new games because they do it with the exact release date and without delays.

In the end, avid followers of "The Elder Scrolls" video game series will just have to be a lot more patient because sooner or later, the game will eventually be announced.
