This July will mark twenty-six years of successful business for Kamran Malek and his company, International Fire Protection Inc. A venture that started out small and grew to encompass many facilities throughout the Southeastern United States, International Fire Protection Inc. continues to grow and strengthen.

After opening their doors in 1990, Mr. Kamran Malek and his business partner sought to create a life safety business that was much needed in the Huntsville area. Their vision to “provide the best life safety service to [their] customers through quality, integrity, honesty, and customer satisfaction” have led to community and peer recognition.

In 1996, International Fire Protection Inc. was nominated by the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce for the Small Business of the Year Award. This nomination was given in honor of the business's growth and service of the community. In April of that year, at the awards ceremony, his company won the coveted prize.

International Fire Protection Inc. is divided into three employee groups that work to provide fire protection and prevention services. These groups, inspection, service, and contracts, manage the day to day dealings with individual clients as well as larger projects in Madison. The company's vision is simple yet effective, to “develop, maintain, and encourage professionalism throughout International Fire Protection Inc.”.

As a company that is focused on fire safety for their many clients and customers, it is no wonder that in-house safety is also a top priority for Kamran Malek and his staff. Having a zero-accident environment and leading their field in safety education in the workplace, the business has remained true to their own safety and security ideals.

The tenets that have made Mr. Malek successful in business have also brought him closer to his community through charitable and religious involvement. He is an active member of his church and past missionary. Working with children and veterans are two philanthropic acts that are near and dear to him and the rest of his company.

Kamran Malek was born in Tehran, Iran, though moved to the United State to attend college, He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Tennessee Technological University.
