Satguru Shri Devendra Ghia was born on 6th November 1927, in the city of Mumbai, India. Kaka has written about 10,000 hymns which are published in a book called BHAAV SAMADHI VICHAAR SAMADHI. This book has 20 volumes, each one containing 500 hymns. A lot of these hymns have been sung by his devotees and are available on the YouTube channel Kaka Bhajans. The meaning of Bhaav Samadhi and Vichaar Samadhi is a complete balance of thoughts and emotions. Once, you have a balance over your own thoughts and emotions, then there are no desires left. Once there are no desires, there are no new karmas that you bind and no more cycles of life and death. Kaka lived his life exactly like that. Though he would be moved by the plight of his followers, though he would shower his blessings all the time, though he had to face hardships in his life, he would always remain in eternal joy and peace. The hymns reflect just that. The majority of hymns are in Gujarati but there are several hymns in English, Hindi, and Marathi languages. The first hymn of his is full of inner reflection, clarity, and purity.
