How the elderly & disabled are discriminated against and left behind by our elected officials.

Let me start by saying the party doesn’t matter and I say this as someone who voted for Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020. I am both elderly and disabled and I care for special needs animals.
Under Trump the elderly & disabled who receive Social Security or SSI received their stimulus payments with no delays, issues or problems. Under Biden none of the elderly & disabled have received their payments. Why is that? I am sure the elderly and disabled community would like to know. Lately in the news every category of human beings have been represented and championed except the elderly & disabled, let me give you an example using MSNBC the following have been mentioned the most.

• Asian Americans,
• African Americans,
• Gays,
• Students,
• Women,
• Children,
• Immigrants,

I live in the City of St. Louis, but St. Louis County has started evicting again and President Biden’s rescue plan does not ban evictions. The information on all of these problems is not very good and most people really don’t know what to do or where to turn.

These things are starting to affect people’s health, I had to see a cardiac specialist on 3/19/2021 and I have to go in for a stress test on 3/26/2021

The solution is some type of support in the form of a social worker or someone who can assist the elderly and disabled with what type of help and assistance that is available and help them with the application process. I have access to the internet but how many of the elderly and disabled don’t.

We the elderly & disabled have a right to be heard, we have a right to be included in society and we have a right to be represented…
