Cloud computing is a model to allow convenient access on demand from anywhere to a shared pool of computing resources. These can include server storage network applications and services that can be provisioned and released quickly and easily.

The cloud model includes five essential characteristics
First on-demand self-service
This allows users to quickly and automatically access the IT resources they want without requiring any additional human interaction.
Second broad network access
This is the ability to access a service from any standard device that is connected to the network, including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, phones or tablets.

Third resource pooling computer networking and storage

The pooling of resources and storage and the computer network are grouped and shared among multiple clients.
Fourth rapid elasticity
Rapid elasticity allows you to quickly scale or reduce your cloud's capabilities to match the user's level of demand.
Fifth metering
Metering this tracks and controls the level of resource use or the cost of that use.

Cloud deployments
Customers generally choose one of three options for their cloud deployments either public, private or hybrid cloud.

1. Private Cloud deployments
A private cloud is provisioned for the exclusive use of a single organization. The infrastructure is generally owned and operated by the organization within its own firewall.

2. Public Cloud deployments

A public cloud infrastructure is open for use by the general public. This type of cloud is owned and operated by a cloud service provider and runs on the provider's premises.

3. Hybrid Cloud deployments

A hybrid cloud allows a user to access public and private cloud resources from a single management environment.
Services of Cloud platform

In addition, there are three different types of IT services available today through public, private and hybrid clouds.
1. Software as a service
The first is software as a service or SAS. SAS allows users to access an application without having to manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure. Examples of SAS are Gmail or salesforce.com.

2. Platform as-a-service

The second is the platform as a service or the platform as a service provides users with access to a software development environment that allows them to create their own applications in the cloud using tools and services from libraries of programming languages. The user has control over these applications without having to manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure. An example of a pass is cloud casting.

3. infrastructure as a service

The third service in the cloud and the one that is most widely seen as a cloud is infrastructure as a service or I AAAS. An infrastructure such as a service cloud allows the user to quickly and easily provision complete computing resources, including storage and network processing, without the user having to manage or control the underlying cloud infrastructure. An example of a private cloud infrastructure as a service is that Susa opens that cloud.
Most of today's data centers are highly virtualized, but it can still take a day or two, even a week, to provision a virtual machine and even more to obtain the necessary authorization. Public infrastructure offers such as a cloud service like Amazon and others grew rapidly due to this need for on-demand IT resources that internal IT departments were not able to provide quickly enough. The cloud service provider offered a solution in which any person or company could provision a server for itself. When they need it, run it as long as they need it and then turn it off. They pay the cloud service provider and the continuous operating cost only for the computing resources they need. The use of a public cloud is often seen as a good way to gain access to these resources for a short period of time. A private cloud infrastructure as a service extends the benefits of the public cloud to your company's own data center. It can help you respond faster to changing business and customer demands and reduce costs by introducing more automation and improving the efficiency of your IT environment. Because a private cloud is inside your organization's firewall, it also gives you better control of data security and helps ensure compliance with regulations. Whether the implementation of workloads in a public infrastructure as a service environment in a private one or in both companies have the capacity to develop a more flexible and agile infrastructure. That aligns better with business needs while reducing costs.
