This Press Release is written to inform the readers that Andrew Lesnak educated Hurricane Sandy victims with relevant life skills.

An insight into the journey of Andrew Lesnak…. Hurricane Sandy hit the Eastern region of the United States, on October 29, 2012. Andrew was one of the many thousands of victims of the storm, as he literally lost all his personal belongings, his home, and his successful business operations, essentially overnight. Unfortunately, his life negatively changed dramatically, as he saw all his dreams wiped away. And, with no sense of relief in sight to recover his losses, the challenge to maintain a positive mindset was almost impossibility. However, what made him a success in his business and personal life, was an ability to identify the issues, and to “attack” with a strategy to overcome the mental, emotional and physical battles that lie ahead.

Andrew decided to aggressively get mental health treatment, to stabilize his life as a productive citizen. And, once he had understood that there was an opportunity to help himself, while helping others in their recovery, that the “renaissance” of Andrew began. He immediately immersed himself to volunteering with organizations that focused on mental health and substance abuse issues. From a personal perspective, he found it highly therapeutic, as it helped him heal his invisible scars of hopelessness that the hurricane left behind.

A large part of the recovery process was a focusing effort to help the victims to regain self-confidence and rebuild their self-esteem. His strategies to provide “life coaching”, have started to show results. The coaching helps teach, and put the issues in perspective, of how to cope from depression, anxiety and emotional strains of uncertainty. He also found ways to providing the victims with affordable housing, so there would be some type of stability in their lives. Additionally, he helped those victims who were permanently displaced, find employment opportunities, to relieve some of the financial burdens that came from the losses of the hurricane.

About Andrew Lesnak
Due to the successes of his charitable approach to “recovery”, he began an organization that focused on the mental health aspects of hopelessness and substance abuse issues. Unfortunately, hopelessness and depression, lead to some type of substance abuses. His newly formed organization is called The Spero Advocacy Group, with an appropriate motto that says: While I Breathe, I Hope.
