A few months prior to the wedding day

The worst thing you can do is to go on a fast in an attempt to squeeze into a size 4 gown. Numerous scientific studies have consistently proven that by depriving your body of food, it goes into starvation mode and this hinders the pounds from shifting from your thighs. If you want your metabolism to remain active, you need to eat in small quantities every four hours. What this means is that you will need to eat three main meals and two snacks in between.

You should incorporate cardio into your workout routine. Request your soon-to-be husband to join you. It will offer you two some quality time to go through the wedding details. Besides, you will also be sure that he is getting fit too.

Talk to a former bride and you will quickly find out that your wedding gown should be as comfortable as can be. Remember you will have it on for a whole twelve hours and you will even rock the dance floor wearing it. Your gown should not pinch, itch, or bind and if you have sensitive skin, keep off the beading. Have the gown made from natural fibre and steer clear of synthetics.

Money is undoubtedly the biggest wedding day stressor. Ensure everyone is on the know on what they are catering for: who gets to make payments to the priest, make-up artist, rehearsal dinner etc. to avoid any bad surprises. Remember that even if your parents are footing the entire wedding bill, make sure it is the wedding that you and your partner desire and not what your mum always dreamed of and never got. The week prior to the wedding day

Don’t reduce your work outs, you need to ramp them with additional cardio such as rollerblading, swimming, cycling, or running. Exercises that are heart pumping are great stress battlers.

Keep off food that can cause you to bloat as this will make your dress feel tight and uncomfortable. Don’t take seltzer or bubbly water, opt rather for lemon water. Also it will do you good not to eat pretzels and chips, go for unsalted nuts and fruit. And finally, sleep a minimum of 8 hours every night.
