Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. is an attorney at law who has been working with The Marshall Law Practice, LLC, Newark, NJ since 1998. She has also been working as an Assistant Public Defender at City of Newark Municipal Public Defender’s Office, Newark, NJ since 2011.

In 7/2016, she started working as Acting Chief Executive Officer Volunteer at Brand New Day, Inc., Elizabeth, NJ. Since then she has been handling the following responsibilities:

- Overseeing the structuring and reorganization of a 30-year-old private 501(c) non-for-profit community development corporation with the purpose of improving the quality of life for low-to moderate income people, youth and families through the management, development and preservation of affordable housing and economic development.

- Collaborating with the tax credit partner and Elizabeth Housing Authority for transfer of HUD’s Hope VI initiative development program of thirty five townhouses and low-income apartments to the Housing Authority.

- Involved with funding from New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, low income housing tax credits and HACE/Hope VI funds.

- Formerly not only served as a general counsel to the organization but also negotiated settlements of more than one million dollars of debt.

Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. is a reputed attorney at law who has years of experience dealing with real estate matters, housing and litigations. When talking about her education, Rachel Y. Marshall, Esq. did her graduation from Neptune High School. She attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick from where she received a Bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Sociology and Administration of Justice. She then attended New York Law School in 1997 and later opened her private practice in Newark.
