We like to meet new people and learn from them about Christianity and how to be a better Christian. Now, Church apps have been a great help when it comes to sharing information regarding the Church timings, sermons, etc.

Why do we need to pray every week or maybe daily? That is the question of which you will get a better answer from the priest. But when it comes to people, many of us believe in praying and asking forgiveness to God. We like to meet new people and learn from them about Christianity and how to be a better Christian. Now, Church apps have been a great help when it comes to sharing information regarding the Church timings, sermons, etc. But let us get back to the question asked in the beginning. To understand Christianity and to be more educated about the religion you need to keep learning. Keep learning about the ins and outs of it. Thanks to church apps we are saved as they help people to stay updated with the church. In spite of this many Church Apps fail for many reasons. Now, how do you maintain that momentum and engagement for a Church App?

After you are done with building a momentum you need to keep and guide it through and through.

• Keeping it
Once you have built momentum, how do you keep it? The first thing is to build momentum and keep it going in the right direction. The key word here is Passion. There must be passion and motivation through the mundane. Your God-predestined determination needs to keep your people inspired and valued through the routine of ministry. So make sure to cast and recast your vision on a regular basis. Some well-known pastor have said -that it is relatively easy to keep people motivated near the starting line, but you must never forget to cast a crystal-clear vision, as people would naturally be excited. As it is quite easy to keep people motivated near the finish line, when the reality of the vision is within sight and without any muddle. But did you ever thought what is the the toughest time to maintain momentum? Middle of it is the toughest time, as it is then when the vision is most vulnerable. So encourage your leaders to do their best to cast vision and inspire in the middle of the process. And this will definitely help keeping the momentum going.

• Guiding it
It is a natural tendency for something with lots of momentum to go off track. If a bus is moving with too much momentum and it hits a curve, it will disrupt, and will cause mass destruction.

So, the key point here is focus. Stay focused and accurate. Churches and ministries that have lots of momentum need well-defined, and a tough tracks to guide them and prevent “sideways momentum.” Sideways momentum is gulped by all big, time consuming, energy sucking project or ministry that many churches spend loads of energy and hard work on, yet does little to accomplish the mission. So when you keep your staff and volunteers busy, does it bear any fruit? Does it move people to the desired destination? Or does it work out as it was planned?

And hence, make a point to create or keep tracks which can always point out in completing your mission and fulfilling your purpose and desired goals. Well defined boundaries will preserve organizational energy and keep your ministry moving in the right direction without any confusion and errors.

Let’s avoid these few pitfalls that let people not use your app:

• Not updating your app regularly
Your app needs consistency in getting better with content and design with time. When you first roll out your application to the public, they will use it up until you keep posting new and updated stuff. Your app may have some very great features but if it is stagnant, expect your audience to move on. They will find something else. If you stop updating whatever it maybe, sermons, notifications, audio files, or even videos for that matter you will give your user base a reason to not use your app and go for something else.

• Not promoting your app
I remember the time when I saw a poster outside of my church about an app. I was intrigued and I downloaded the app as soon as possible. The promotion went on for a few weeks and then they stopped. Now, I was a university student and the thing about universities is that every year they have new students, thousands of them. So, the application could have been a great success but apparently it failed. Why? First, they stopped updating the app after a month and they ceased all promotional activities after they pasted those posters outside the church.

A very few people knew about the app and those who knew didn’t bother promote it because they stopped seeing something new on the app. Promote your app almost daily by the pastor, the regulars. Maybe even one person a day. Remember God appreciates small acts of kindness.

• Culture Integration
Every church has a different culture and the app needs to understand that. Every culture has different needs based on the requirements and if your app doesn’t conform to them, you are down to a path to failure. Make sure you explain all the functions and uses of your application. And if you require other personalities such as the pastor, to promote your app make sure you explain the functions clearly.

Maybe your church is a small one or a large one. Even that makes a great difference. You see, the larger the church more is it difficult to spread the word in case of events and stuff. GiveCentral Go Church app will make sure all get the sermons on time and information regarding other events using push notifications. That way any new information will be sent to the users phone. You miss a podcast? No problem. The app has got you covered.

This is an era of smartphones and according to research by Christian Web Trends; app beats mobile websites by 2 to 1. And if we talk about age factor, then the youth is the most active on smartphones than the adults. So, finding your niche, and targeting them is only the first step; to ensure the continuous use of your application you need to understand where you are launching it, and the things you need to consider to make sure it doesn’t end up in a failure.
