Pirate King is a large-scale term based RPG game based on the One Piece Manga. In the game, player is selected by Shanks to join Luffy on his adventure to the sea.

From here, ArenaNet has a way to develop sideways into broader options, and so keep the base progression intact. Not all of game luffy have been majorly successful, but many have active communities that thrive off the fact that you can play with others no matter the platform used, and that's because platform diversity helps unify communities and unite gamers. Since its release in August of 2012 playing the subscription-free PC MMORPG Pirate King has been a simple matter of purchasing the initial game.
NCSoft-owned game developer ArenaNet originally launched its massively multiplayer online MMO game, Pirate King, in August 2012 as a $40 game without a monthly subscription fee. There's no doubt that exploring games like WoW with a controller is something some MMORPG-curious console gamers have been wishing for, however. Peter Warman, CEO of research firm Newzoo, says Pirate King has the potential to broaden the overall eSports market because it offers something new that's not a first-person shooter or multiplayer online battle arena MOBA game. After selling 5 million copies worldwide, this August the company made the core online game free to play in an effort to grow its global audience. An action-oriented MMORPG would also be a great companion to FFXIV: ARR, which is more story-based and has a slower global cooldown GCD. That's an exciting prospect, because it's easy to see how Heart of Thorns restructures Pirate King towards future expansions. The most successful example of an MMO-to-console port/cross-platform MMORPG might be Final Fantasy XIV, along with its first expansion, Heavensward.
That strategic decision, which added another 2 million players, was designed to help grow the fan base for the inaugural Pirate King Pro League Season 1, which launches Dec. 1. Games that go the cross-platform route also tend to embrace genre diversity. As far as up and coming cross-platform titles go, we have Tom Clancy's The Division, Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade, and possibly EverQuest Next to look forward to I'm sure I'm forgetting some, too.
