What inspired you to work on this book?
I stumbled upon the concept of Mind Maps , many years ago, thanks to Mr. Tony Buzan’s book “How to Mind Map” . On reading that book, my first reaction was “Why did somebody not teach this to me when I was in school or college?” Well, the clock cannot be turned back but my desire to spread Mind Maps amongst as many students and eager parents/teachers has been my single biggest motivator for this Book.

How is this book different from all other books that cover the same subject?
Many good books on Mind Mapping are available however I felt that they focused more on the technique of Mind Mapping and not so much on its underlying principles and most importantly on the wide variety of possibleapplication of Mind Mapping especially in academics.

How can a parent/teacher use it to increase the concentration of children?
A child displays intense focus while doing something of his/her interest. So it is not that the child lacks the ability to focus it is just that the learning material & methodology being served to the child is not exciting enoughto his powerful brain. Now, a Mind Map fundamentally helps trigger both right & left brain abilities. Once this whole brain thinking is ignited learning becomes more fun, engaging & nearly effortless.

How does this book stimulate the intelligence of a child?
With regular use of Mind maps the child starts to switch easily to whole brain thinking helps the child both understand concepts better as well as recall. It becomes easy for the child then to progressively build on his understanding and start grasping even more complex subjects easily.
