Teen drivers consider obtaining their driving license as their step forward towards adulthood. Safety first is the prime motto of advance Driving School Edmonton

Parents should feel Happy: Parents should get over their feelings of anxiety. Their baby is no longer a baby. They should rather feel happy that their loving child is on the verge of adulthood. He/she is going to become an independent individual and a new teen driver. The duties, liabilities and responsibilities of the parents are to make him/her responsible citizen as well as responsible, safe & confident driver. They have to guide him/her to grow to success.
Pieces of Advice: Here are some pieces of advice when your child is ready to learn how to drive, how to use the roads safely and independently:
• Practice makes one perfect. New teen drivers must practice what they might have learnt in their driving school. The parents can encourage their child to practice driving in their company.
• Safe driving involves learning the art to react to different and risky and dangerous situations on the road, within moments to avoid risk and danger. The parents can guide their teen driver through their gained driving experience. The parents would have to share their experience but with a cool head. They must not lose their temper.
• The parents must ensure that when their child goes for driving, he/she is accompanied by at least one of them.
• The parents must guide their teens not to take unnecessary risks while driving.
• The parents must inculcate the habits among their teen drivers to obey all the traffic rules and regulations, follow all traffic signs and strictly drive within the specified speed limits.
• Whenever the parents find that their teen has consumed alcohol, they should take over the keys of the car from him/her.
• The parents must ensure that there are no distractions while the teen is driving. Take away his/her cell phone.
• The parents must not allow any peer with him/her in the car at least for six months after receipt of driving license.
• Guide your teen how to take a turn towards your desired lane at a busy intersection. Although your teen may have got practical training from his/her driving school instructor, yet it is not that easy. If he/she is still not confident, then the advice may be given to use the next less busy intersection.
• Last, but not the least the parents themselves must set a good example. Your teen learns faster by observing your driving behavior. When either of you is driving, when your teen is accompanying you; then you must wear your seat belt before starting driving. Obey all the traffic rules. Park your car at the parking site for answering your important phone call, if any.
Conclusion: Your teen driver will become a safe driver certainly after heeding to your valuable advice.
